Bäckström/Friman/Jensen is an exciting meeting between the amazing Finnish musicians Lassi Friman (guitar), Jonathan Bäckström (double bass), and the inspiring Danish musicians Jens Emil Jensen (drums). Together, they deliver a warm and fresh take on a unique, modern jazz sound, where they effortlessly blend their Nordic roots with American jazz traditions. The trio melts together in a playful, melodic and dynamic interplay, with original music from all three band members. Each of the musicians have already made their mark on their local jazz scenes, as well as internationally, and now they make a blooming statement together, with their trio debut album Postcards (August, 2026), released through the acclaimed Danish record label BlikFlak!
